Picking the 1st touchdown scorer during a game isn’t easy but it’s going to make the game very exciting for you. We searched the Internet and found this interesting bet on Betway:
Isaiah Crowell scored a pair of touchdowns during the Jets’ opening day win over the Lions and yes, he scored the first touchdown of that game. But Crowell didn’t record a touchdown last week and only had 12 carries for 35 yards against the Dolphins. However, Crowell is an intriguing pick here because he is playing against his former team. That could be a motivating factor.
Jarvis Landry doesn’t have a touchdown yet this season but given he had 22 last season, it’s only a matter of time before he scores one. Landry has a total of 12 receptions for a total of 175 receiving yards in just two games. Given that the Jets’ secondary has given up the 12th most catches to wide outs since Week 1 last season, this may be a good game for Jarvis to score.
Carlos Hyde has scored a rushing touchdown in each of the Cleveland Brown’s first two games. In their last game, Brown scored the first touchdown of the game for the Browns. In their opening game, Brown’s rushing TD was Cleveland’s second score of the game. Through week 2, the Browns are 4th in the NFL in rushing yards per game so that speaks of how they run their offense. As for Brown, he currently ranks third in the league in carries with a total of 38 through two games. So here’s the picture: The Browns have ran the football through two weeks and Hyde has gotten the load. If the Browns will score first, it’s gotta be on the ground from Carlos Hyde. The first one was tricky. This one, though easier to make, still makes watching the game very fun. We went to Sportsbetting.ag and found a prop bet that asked how many passing yards will the quarterbacks finish with:
Andy Dalton passed for 265 yards last week after 243 in the opener. In his last 4 games played, Dalton has passed for at least 222 yards. However, the Bengals are playing a talented Carolina defense on the road this week so that’s a concern.
Cam Newton has been feast and famine alternating in his last four games. Newton is coming off a 335 yard game against the Falcons last September 17th but prior to that game he passed for 161, 349 and 18 yards. Newton passed for more than 200 yards in 7 out of 16 games played last season so that’s probably why he’s priced lesser than Dalton.
I know Andy Dalton is going up against a better defense this week than the ones he faced previously. And though the Bengals are playing on the road, their 2-0 start plus Dalton’s good start to the season can give him confidence and momentum. It’s a bit pricey but I’ll take Dalton here. Aside from those two game related bets, we found one bet worth noting but one not necessarily taking and that prop bet is none other than about wide receiver Antonio Brown who is at the center of controversy this week. Brown has had issues with his team or teammates this week and while it may be serious, the bookies have joined the story.
It all started during the Steelers’ game versus the Kansas City Chiefs last week when he and QB Ben Roethlisberger appeared to have a miscommunication on a third and goal play in the final minutes of that game. Brown walked off the field alone while his teammates celebrated the score with Roethlisberger.
After the game, Brown left the locker room before media entered. He got into a social media argument with a former Steelers staff. Then on Monday, Brown wasn’t around at the Steelers’ walkthrough but his agent said he was dealing with a personal issue. Brown’s agent said that his client doesn’t want to be traded but Brown tweeted “trade me let’s find out” after a former staff of the Steelers said he won’t be the same player without Ben Roethlisberger.
The issue seems to get bigger by the day but Does Brown really want a trade? I’m not sure where this is leading to but the bookies are already on the move. We found this prop bet at Bovada:
If that isn’t enough, Bookmaker.eu even went as far as asking which team would Antonio Brown play for on November 15:
Brown is probably the best wide receiver in all of football and I don’t think the Steelers would trade him. Pittsburgh is already dealing with the absence of Le’Veon Bell who could be leaving the team after the season. Moving Brown would almost certainly derail their Super Bowl ambitions and their future plans as well. Secondly, the structure of Brown’s contract would make it financially unsound for the Steelers to deal him as they would incur a dead cap of $28M should they do. What do I think? Tomlin will resolve the issues and AB will return to play for the Steelers. But at -3500 not to trade him and -1893 for him to stay in Pittsburgh, there isn’t value in these bets. However, it’s arguably the most interesting ones of the week.
